What is a Lenticular Filter?
A Pak® cartridge is constructed from stacked lenticular filter cells. Each cell consists of a pair of depth filter media sheets—such as the renowned MicroMedia®, AlphaMedia®, or MicroClear®—sealed at the edges using a patented process. The assembled unit utilizes a polypropylene core and resembles a stack of double convex lenses, giving it the name “lenticular.”
This design allows for a tortuous path offering high solids loading capacity and consistent particle retention. The modules fit into sealed housings, preventing leakage and ensuring zero atmospheric exposure, which is critical for purity and safety.

Filtration Media Configurations

2. AlphaMedia® (G-Series)
Comprised of 100% cellulose, AlphaMedia® is the standard for applications where no inorganic filter aids are desired. It is often used in dielectric oils, syrups, and perfumes.
3. MicroClear® (Activated Carbon)
These modules contain immobilized activated carbon, allowing for adsorption of color, odor, and impurities without the mess of handling loose carbon powder.
