The ErtelAlsop Pak® cartridge (or module) is a totally enclosed depth filtration system. By utilizing the same high-quality media found in filter sheets but packaged in a sealed, stackable cartridge format, operators gain the filtration performance of a press with the convenience of a cartridge.
What is a Particulate “Pak”?
The “Pak” design consists of multiple lenticular cells stacked vertically. Each cell is constructed from two discs of depth filter media, edge-sealed around a polypropylene core. This construction creates a module that resembles a stack of double convex lenses—hence the term “lenticular.”
This design offers extensive surface area in a compact footprint and is specifically engineered to replace open plate and frame filters. The result is a system that prevents leakage, reduces exposure to the product, and significantly lowers change-out times.
