What is a Lenticular Filter?
The ErtelAlsop Pak® combines the benefits of traditional plate and frame filtration with the convenience of a cartridge system. The unit is assembled from varying numbers of stacked filter cells (typically 12-inch or 16-inch diameters). Each cell consists of two sheets of depth filter media sealed around a polypropylene internal core.
This "lenticular" (lens-shaped) design allows for a large surface area within a compact footprint. Unlike surface filters that trap particles only on the outer layer, these depth filters utilize a tortuous path through the media matrix to capture particles throughout the entire thickness of the sheet.
